Default NCAA Power Rankings

power rankings for the week 6/28-7/4

RJ Jazul (CSJL) –What he did in one game (37 pts, 8 rebs, 5 asts, 3 stls, 7/11 3pts, 6/6 fts vs CSB, 7/4) is more than enough to garner him the top spot this week. Jazul also had a good all-around output the first time out (13 pts, 4 rebs, 7 asts, 4 stls vs JRU, 6/28).

Archie David (CSB) – despite conservative numbers (his averages fell after a 2-pt game and an injury vs CSJL, 7/4), the wiry guy with the recognizable haircut provided the biggest impact with his two clutch threes (vs PCU, 6/28; vs UPHSD, 7/2) leading to two early wins for CSB.

Jim Viray (SSCR) – a poor man’s version of Jazul (21 pts, 7/10 fgs vs MIT, 7/2), his timely three-pointer in the endgame against JRU gave the Stags their first win of the season.

Sam Ekwe (SBC) – basketball made easy (18 pts, 12 rebs, 2stls, 0 dunks vs MIT, 6/28) by Sam Ekwe. Comes with free fadeaway jumper from 10-15 feet.

Neil Pascual (MIT) – MIT now has a new near-double-double producer (10 pts, 9 rebs, 3 asts vs SBC, 6/28; 19 pts, 8 rebs, 6 asts vs SSCR, 7/2) and his surname is not dela Peña.

James Sena (JRU) – “The Marine” piled consistent stats (19 pts, 5 rebs, 3 asts, 1 blk vs CSJL, 6/28; 15 pts, 5 rebs vs SSCR, 7/4).

John Melegrito (CSJL) – Koljack. Carl. John. Whatever this guy’s name is, he has been the quiet but efficient (14 pts, 7 rebs, 4 asts vs JRU, 6/28; 13 pts vs CSB, 7/4) Robin, not Malayan nor Padilla, to the Blue Knight (Jazul… Blue, get it?).

Garri Sevilla (CSB) – Sevilla is having a breakout season (11 pts, 3/5 3pts, 6 rebs vs UPHSD 7/2; 13 pts 6 rebs vs CSJL, 7/4) with the minutes (24.5 mpg the last two games) and confidence coach Gee Abanilla is giving him.

Kelvin dela Peña (MIT) – let us put this into perspective. KdP’s statlines (9 pts, 3 rebs, 2 asts, 3 stls, 1 blk vs SBC, 6/28; 9 pts, 6 rebs, 5 asts, 3 stls vs SSCR, 7/2) may not be his usual MVP numbers but at least he is consistent.

Jason Ballesteros (SSCR) – despite generally underachieving, his output (13 pts, 11 rebs, 2 stls, 3 blks) against MIT (7/2) is splendid for a single-game performance.
